Supporting Program
The supporting program of Bazaar Berlin 2024 offers an impressive variety of experiences. From captivating fashion shows to creative workshops, there is something for everyone. The Carnival of Cultures brings international diversity to the stage, while tarot card readings offer mystical insights. Relax with massages in the oasis of peace and take part in our fair trade celebration including a tour. Experience a feast for the senses and cultural discoveries at Bazaar Berlin!
Workshops
You can look forward to a wide range of interesting workshops at Bazaar Berlin 2024! Whether it's batik, henna tattoos or learning embroidery techniques - there are plenty of creative opportunities to try out and discover new things!
Workshop 1:
Ibiza feeling at home: Design your own boho dreamcatcher in the creative workshop and learn how to create a beautiful unique piece using lace, ribbons, and other materials.
Please note: As there is no pre-registration and the number of participants is limited to 10 people, we would like to point out that participation is only possible as long as places are available. Once the quota has been reached, unfortunately no further people can take part in this workshop.

Workshop 2:
Immerse yourself in the tradition of the centuries-old art form of henna painting and create your own designs. Ideal for anyone who wants to express their creative side.
Workshop leader: Linda Mey (also exhibitor in hall 18, booth 110)

Duration: 1.5 hours
Cost: €25 (€10 henna tattoo included) - payment on site

Workshop 3:
In the batik with flowers workshop you will learn how to dye textiles naturally with plants. You will have the opportunity to dye a T-shirt, scrunchie or a pair of socks with the colors of nature and create your own plant-dyed unique piece!
Participants have the opportunity to purchase a dyed item (T-shirt or longsleeve) on site for €15. Alternatively, you can bring your own piece of clothing to be dyed for €5. Please note that textiles you bring with you are not stained and are therefore not washable.

Workshop 4:
Join our beginner-friendly embroidery workshop where activism meets creativity. Transform old garments into unique pieces and create your very own art stitch by stitch.
Participants do not need to bring their own clothes, all necessary materials will be provided.

Workshop 5:
During this workshop you can learn the basics of origami by folding typical Peruvian animals (such as a vicuña or a shansho).

Workshop 6:
Passarinho de Portugal is a musical instrument rooted in Portuguese tradition and culture.
In this workshop you will freely paint the clay bird that sings with water.
Workshop leader: Cynthia Mira (also exhibitor in "Kleiner Stern")

Duration: 1.5 hours
Costs: €15 with the bird included – payment on-site
Participants: suitable for ages 6 and up, with a limit of 30 participants

Workshop 7:
Design your own bracelet with Brazilian rose quartz stones in this workshop. The workshop is aimed at people with no previous experience and offers an easy and creative way to design your own jewelry.
Workshop leader: Alexandra Campos
Day & time: During the entire duration of the trade fair from 10 am to 7 pm
Duration: 30-minute courses, every full hour
Costs: free of charge (the rose quartz stones for the bracelet can be purchased on site for 12€).
Participants: 10 per slot

Fashion shows
There will also be two extraordinary fashion shows this year. Marvel at individual and unique products on the catwalk in Hall 19.
As every year, you can purchase the presented styles directly afterwards at the Bazaar Berlin.

Carnival of Cultures
Dance groups from the Carnival of Cultures will be represented at Bazaar Berlin with spectacular dance performances. Experience the vibrant diversity of Berlin through rhythmic dances, colorful costumes and rousing music. The dancers bring different cultures to the stage and inspire with great performances.

Tarot card reading

Oasis of peace
Treat yourself to a well-deserved break in our relax oasis. A relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the trade fair awaits you here to recharge your batteries and recuperate. Enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and let Physio Care pamper you in the relaxation oasis for a fee.

Berlin is Fairtrade
2024 is the year again! - Berlin and some districts will once again be recognized as Fairtrade Towns! The Fairtrade - Town Berlin steering group invites you to the re-awarding ceremony, where many fair and socially responsible companies will present their products and a fashion show on fair fashion will take place. Take the opportunity to think about challenges and new ideas for fair trade and to network with other stakeholders.
All those interested in and committed to Fairtrade Towns in Berlin, visitors to Bazaar Berlin and anyone interested in future-proof forms of social sustainability are invited to attend.
Registered participants will receive free access to the event.

There will be a tour as part of the re-award ceremony. This will start at 1:45 pm in the Palais upper floor east side.
In addition, there will be guided tours of the exhibition ‘Stoffgeschichten - über global bewegte Materialien’ (fabric stories - about globally moving materials) including an upcycling workshop on various days of the fair in the Palais, booth 215.
